Iskra Lawrence Shared A Surprising Thigh Gap ‘Before-And-After’ Selfie

Iskra Lawrence, Aerie spokesmodel and the face of the brand’s body positive #AerieREAL campaign, is known for speaking out about self-acceptance whenever she can. Since she joined forces with Aerie in February, the 25-year-old has shared countless inspiring Instagram posts that encourage her followers to embrace their bodies exactly as they are. In Lawrence’s latest moving post, she shares two side-by-side selfies that seem to show totally different body shapes. One image depicts Lawrence’s thighs touching, and the other features her sporting what appears to be a thigh gap-but both pictures were taken on the same day.

“I’ll be the first one to tell you pics are all about good lighting and angles,” she writes in the photo’s caption after reminding fans that it doesn’t matter whether they have a thigh gap. “Always remember social media’s not real life, never let anyone else’s pics make you feel insecure about yourself.” She also powerfully points out that everyone has different goals and desires for their bodies. “If you don’t look like her and she doesn’t look like you that’s how it’s meant to be,” she shares in the post. “You are meant to be YOU no one else, your body is your home so love and respect it. When you look after it beautiful things happen.” Well said!

Lawrence has spoken about thigh gaps before. In a recent interview with Glamour, she shared an inspiring message for young girls: “You don’t have to wake up and worry about your thigh gap. You should be waking up and being excited about what you’re going to do today, and your friends and your family, and what you’re going to achieve in life.” Thanks for the inspiration, Iskra!
